Job Description:
Our client is looking for a Communication Network Field Engineer to join their Radio Support Team in support of the Missile Defense Agency. This person will oversee the deployment, testing, and upgrading of the Terminal High Altitude Area Defense (THAAD) missile systems for the Tactical Operations Station and Launch Control System. Huge opportunity to work at Redstone Arsenal, which is a major center for missile and rocket programs in the US, and support the tactical radios the military uses to communicate with NATO and allied forces!

• 6+ years of network engineering experience supporting Cisco network infrastructure operations.
o Switches, routers, firewalls, connectivity/cabling, etc.
• 5+ years of experience integrating, deploying, and supporting various tactical communication systems, such as Line of Sight (LOS) and Satellite Communications (SATCOM) related systems.
• Experience troubleshooting and supporting the Portable Radio Communications (PRC) family of radios.
o SMART-T, SNAP, CPN, JNN, Gators, and COMSEC.
• Experience working with Multifunctional Information Distribution System (MIDS) radio and network terminals over the Link-16 data exchange network.
o Knowledge of Link-16 data protocols.
• Must have an active Secret clearance and ability to travel overseas.
• Ability to lift equipment weighing up to 40lbs.

Nice to have:
• Previous Military Experience.
o MOS Codes: 140A, 14G, 14H, or 25 Series.

• Create and edit configurations for Cisco routers, switches, and firewalls as it pertains to current and future network infrastructures.
• Integrate and deploy tactical communication systems as it relates to mission requirements, supporting during evenings and weekends as scheduled.
• Troubleshoot and support PRC family of radios to ensure equipment is always working properly.
• Research and test tactical communication’s equipment to provide suggestions/recommend changes to improve efficiency or reduce costs in future projects.
• Follow detailed test procedures in a fast-paced field environment.
