Electrician

Job Description:
This person will be a part of the Integrated Facilities Services group within our client’s organization that is currently supporting one of their largest customers, a Fortune 500 Aerospace leader based in Savannah, GA. They will be a key part in standing up the electrical best practices onsite and provide various support and upgrade services to ensure the building operates at peak performance. This is a huge long term contract opportunity to help support one of their most high-end clients!

Requirements:
• 3-5 years of hands-on electrician experience.
• Extensive experience inspecting and repairing electrical systems and components.
• Extensive experience in connecting wires to circuit breakers, transformers, and other electrical components.
• Proficient in reading electrical diagrams, blueprints, sketches, repair manuals, etc.
• Knowledge and understanding of National Electrical Codes.
• Must be able to lift or move equipment up to 50 pounds.
• High School Diploma or GED.

Responsibilities:
• Inspects, repairs, installs, modifies, and maintains electrical/electronic systems, circuits, and equipment.
• Diagnoses malfunctioning systems, apparatus, and components, using test equipment and hand tools, to locate the cause of a breakdown and correct the problem.
• Connects wires to circuit breakers, transformers, or other components.
• Inspects electrical systems, equipment, and components to identify hazards, defects, and the need for adjustment or repair, and to ensure compliance with codes.
• Advises management on whether continued operation of equipment could be hazardous.
