Job Description:
This person will be a part of the Integrated Facilities Services group within our client’s organization that is currently supporting one of their largest customers, a Fortune 500 Aerospace leader based in Savannah, GA. They will be a key part in standing up the plant operations best practices onsite and provide various support such as maintaining and repairing critical assets to ensure the building operates at peak performance. This is a huge long term contract opportunity to help support one of their most high-end clients!
Requirements:
• 2+ years of hands-on mechanical/plant maintenance experience.
• Extensive experience inspecting and repairing electrical systems and components.
• Knowledges of applicable building codes, ordinances, regulations, and standard practices of the mechanical trade
• Proficient in reading diagrams, blueprints, sketches, repair manuals, etc.
• Hold a Class IV Stationary Engineer’s License or the ability to complete requirement to obtain one within 6 months of hire
• Must be able to lift or move equipment up to 50 pounds.
• Willingness to work at various heights, climb ladders, and utilize various lift equipment
• High School Diploma or GED.

Responsibilities:
• Operate boilers, centrifugal chillers, cooling towers, pumps, water softeners, water wells, air compressors and dryers.
• Monitor equipment, recording operational data, interpret data, determine proper operation, efficiency, and anticipated trouble or breakdowns.
• Conduct chemical analysis on cooling water, boiler water, and make needed adjustments to chemical feeds to maintain proper levels of disinfection and treatments against corrosion.
• Monitor plant equipment and make adjustments. Work with process instrumentation.
• Diagnoses malfunctioning systems, apparatus, and components, using test equipment and hand tools, to locate the cause of a breakdown and correct the problem.
• Advises management on whether continued operation of equipment could be hazardous.
