Job Description:
**MUST BE US Citizen and Onsite 5 days/ week in Evandale, OH**

Our customer is looking for a skills Windows PC + Server Migration Engineer to help support the migration effort of (200+) PC shop floor users to a new infrastructure. They’re looking for someone who’s a ‘go-getter’ to evaluate the site, construct the best PC migration process, train, and then execute for a seamless PC migration effort. This role requires both strategic migration planning and hands-on execution, with extensive expertise in Windows OS re-imaging, configuration, and user optimization. They’re also looking for someone who has experience planning the migration of file-share servers from an old environment to new.

Requirements:
• 4+ years’ experience as a Windows Engineer, with a focus on leading large-scale Windows PC migration efforts that involve strategic planning and hands-on execution (migration process design, re-imaging, refresh, configuration, and user optimization).
• Strong experience with:
o Windows OS (Windows 10/11) for migration, configuration, deployment, and re-imaging.
o Active Directory for user authentication, access management, and group policy management.
o Spotfire for user-readiness, data analysis, and reporting.
o Firewall Debugging to ensure network connectivity, troubleshoot migration failures, and solve VPN and remote access issues.
o SCCM (System Center Configuration Manager) for automated deployment and imaging, software & patch management, and
inventory and compliance reporting.
o OneDrive for seamless, user-data transfer and to ensure business continuity.
o ServiceNow ticketing system to track PC migration incident issues in real-time.
o Physical Demands: physical relocation of PC’s on shop floor, to replace old systems.
• Experience helping with the migration of file-share servers from an old environment to new environment, and working with users to communicate the change.

Nice to have:
• Previous experience with Separation, M&A, or Divestiture activities.

Responsibilities:
• Learn and then Own the Previous Migration Strategy and offer ideas for improvement to successfully migration shop floor PC users successfully and with little downtown.
• Assess Current Environment: Conduct an analysis of the existing infrastructure, applications, user profiles, and dependencies to ensure a seamless migration plan.
• Develop and Document Migration Procedures: Establish clear, step-by-step processes for IT teams and end-users, including pre-migration readiness and execution.
• Coordinate Cross-Functional Teams: Collaborate with IT, cybersecurity, and end-user support teams to align migration processes with business needs.
• Pilot and Validate Migration Plan: Conduct test migrations to identify potential issues and refine the strategy before full deployment.
• Execute Migration: Lead and oversee the migration of 200+ PC shop floor users, ensuring minimal disruption and compliance with IT policies.
• Evaluate PC State: lead the decision-making process on PC condition for re-imaging, refresh, configuration, or burn-down.
• Monitor and Optimize Performance: Track migration progress, address issues, and continuously optimize the migration approach to enhance efficiency.
• Help with the planning for the migration of file-share servers from an old environment to new environment, and working with users to communicate the change.
