Infrastructure Architect


Job Description:
We are currently looking for an Infrastructure Architect with data center consolidation(s) experience. This opportunity is with one of our global Fortune 50 clients located just outside of Hartford, CT. Must be onsite 75% of the time. This position requires U.S. Citizenship or Permanent Residency due to access of government data. APPLY TODAY!

• 10+ years’ experience in Information Technology
• 3+ years’ experience as an Infrastructure Architect with strong understanding of the following:
o Windows OS, Citrix, Linux, Unix, End Point Management, VMWare, Block, File and Object Storage, Domain Controller, Active Directory, DNS, ADFS, LDAP, GPOs, Certificates, Vulnerability, Security, Patch Management and System Monitoring tools
• Experienced with datacenter consolidation ( preferably in an architecture role)
• Experience with Cloud based infrastructure and solutions (Azure, AWS) and migrating from on prem to cloud
• Extensive knowledge of Enterprise Architecture methodologies, programming concepts, operating systems, databases/warehouses and middleware/messaging approaches.

• Ability to handle multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
• Collaborate across the organization with architects, project managers and technical managers to develop overall implementation architectures
• Partner with third party providers, focusing on data center consolidation and transformation
• Works closely with the different platform owners in creating and maintaining their roadmaps and ensures enterprise alignment and integration
• Analyze current architecture’s effectiveness and develop strategies for improvement
• Prepare technical design diagrams, system schematics, and data conversion requirements
• Identify emerging technology trends, especially in the area of SaaS and cloud computing, and ensure the company is leveraging them when appropriate to increase efficiency, reduce costs and drive value
• Adhere to IT policies and controls to ensure data accuracy, security, and legal and regulatory compliance
• Operate with a continuous improvement mentality
• Flexible and willing to work on various solutions, applications and projects
