Sr. Structural Engineer

Job Description:
This team is responsible for the build-out of brand-new Nuclear Plants across North America and Europe! This project is currently going from the conceptual phase to the preliminary phase where actual designs are being constructed and parameters are being defined. These positions will play an integral part in getting a proto-client project off the ground and eventually physically constructed. The final stage of this project is the construction phase, which will last 5 years, so this is a huge opportunity for someone to work for one of the top Fortune 500 companies for years to come!

Requirements:
8-10 years of experience as a Structural Engineer with a nuclear background

Strong experience with SSI (Soil Structure Interaction)

Strong experience as a Structural Engineer working with and designing an AP1000 Nuclear Power Plant

Experienced in writing script in ANSYS APDL analytical/programming tools

Language used to model assemblies and create geometries

Professional communication skills and ability to work independently

Master’s Degree or PhD in Mechanical/Industrial/Structural Engineering

Responsibilities:
Work through assigned work packages to meet deadlines and delivery dates

Actively participate in the defining and designing of structural nuclear power plant plans

Collaborate with and work alongside other engineers and keep the Tech Lead informed on all critical assignments

Maintain professional composure and communication with the entire team
