Sr. Test Engineer


Job Description:
One of our Global Partners in the financial services industry needs to bring on a Sr. Test Engineer to join their Merchant & Acquiring team. This company has its own platform that holds numerous applications that are critical to the overall payment processing, Chargebacks, payouts, etc. You will join the team that is responsible for maintaining & testing a combination of both internal & external facing applications that are within this platform. This Sr. Test Engineer will play a huge role in ensuring that the applications and API’s are working properly & efficiently. This is a hybrid schedule, as this team goes onsite to their Atlanta office every Tuesday & Wednesday in the heart of mid-town. Apply today to connect with our team for more details!

• 4+ years of software testing on J2EE/Java applications in an Agile environment
• Extensive automated testing experience using Selenium – Cypress is a plus!
• Extensive experience with backend testing REST API’s
• Strong experience writing and executing detailed test cases, test plans, and test design documents.
• Experience developing test automation frameworks using Java, Junit, TestNG
• Experience debugging and troubleshooting problems in a Linux/Unix based application server environment (WebSphere, JBoss, Tomcat)
• Proactive personality with strong communication & collaboration skills to work across various teams

Nice to have:
• Containerization, XML, unit-testing, shell-scripting, and Cassandra/NoSQL experience
• Exposure to testing environment migrations, Databases, and infrastructure/system upgrades.
• Fintech or payment industry experience

• Design and implement test solutions to take to the production team in an Agile environment
• Use data driven tests to validate API calls for all Merchant & Acquiring Processing applications
• Write and execute detailed test cases, test plans and test design documents
• Participate in active scrum team sprints, creation and validation of tests using SSDLC
• Debug and troubleshoot various issues within a Linux/Unix environment
