Job Description:
Our top Client is hiring a Front-End ELK (Kibana) Dashboard Developer to support as a member of the End-to-End Visualization Team supporting customers for the DoD. You will play a critical in architecting, designing, and developing a unified single-pane-of-glass user experience on the Kibana platform that delivers mission awareness and decision-ready intelligence to DoD customers. You will work directly with operational end users to gather requirements, build dashboards, and translate complex data into actionable visuals.
Requirements:
• 5+ years of hands-on experience designing, developing, and deploying visualization dashboards and reports using the Elastic ELK stack (Elasticsearch, Logstash, Kibana, Beats)
• 2+ years of UI/UX design and development experience – architecture diagrams and wireframes, mockups, and user flows
• Extensive Software development experience with Python, Java, and SQL
• Experience working in Agile development environment (SDLC) supporting sprint cycles, testing, and deployment activities
• Active SECRET Clearance or higher REQUIRED
• CompTIA Security+ certification required within the first 14 days of employment
• B.S. Degree
Nice to have:
• DISA or DoD network operations (NetOps/DISN) domain experience
• Certified Elastic/Kibana Engineer
• CI/CD pipeline experience (Jenkins, Bitbucket, Artifactory or equivalent)
• Experience with JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and JSON/REST APIs in a cloud environment (AWS a plus)
• Atlassian tools (JIRA, Confluence, Git/Bitbucket)
Responsibilities:
• Design, develop, and deploy Kibana dashboards and advanced visualizations including custom mapping capabilities
• Work directly with customers to conduct requirements interviews, build mockups and wireframes, and translate complex data into intuitive user experiences
• Translate concepts into user flows, wireframes, and prototypes that lead to intuitive user experience
• Design, document, test, and deploy UI prototypes written in JavaScript, HTML, and CSS
• Collaborate with back-end developers and data engineers to ensure front end needs are supported by the underlying pipeline
• Contribute to sprint deliverables within Agile scrum team and be present on-site for deployments, testing, and quarterly PI planning
