RedHat OpenShift Engineer

Job Description:
One of our top clients, a large Government Integrator is responsible for all telecommunications, cloud, data center, systems, and network services across all NASA centers and facilities in the U.S.! They’re looking to add to their Systems Engineering team within Cloud & Compute to support approx. 100 applications for NASA financials including transitioning & automating apps in Red Hat OpenShift. This role will play a big piece in OpenShift architecture/engineering solutions across NASA, which offers a huge opportunity to make an immediate impact for a massive long-term government program!

U.S. Citizenship/Green Card Holder required, ACTIVE Public Trust clearance highly preferred

Requirements:
• 7+ years building & maintaining on-premises RedHat OpenShift platform applications– cluster management, application deployment, troubleshooting
• Extensive hands-on experience with Kubernetes management, containerization, and administration
• Hands-on VMware administration experience
• Must be able to obtain a Public Trust clearance (successfully pass a thorough Government background screening process including fingerprinting)
• B.S. Degree

Nice to have:
• RHEL/Linux Admin/OpenShift Certifications
• Extensive hands-on Ansible automation experience

Responsibilities:
• Address, build, and maintain the on-premises OpenShift container platform requirements, Kubernetes Engine, nodes, cluster data management, integrations, resources (pods, services, policies).
• Continuously improve cost management processes by identifying tools and methods for greater efficiency.
• Diagnose and resolve complex issues within the OpenShift environment
• Work directly with customers and various technical team members to openly communicate and address project deadlines/requirements
• Develop and maintain documentation related to the design, installation, administration, maintenance of multiple RedHat/OpenShift systems in a distributed computing environment – including RHEL
