Duration: 5-year contract
Bil Rate: $81/Hr.
Pay Rate: $43/Hr.
Target Spread: $1,141.60

Leidos’s large and growing program, AEGIS, is responsible for all telecommunications, cloud, data center, systems, and network services across all NASA centers and facilities in the U.S.! They’re looking to add to their Systems & Applications Administration team at Langley Research Center to support NASA engineering and laboratory environments. This role will play a key role in ensuring systems, workstations, and overall critical infrastructure components are at peak performance. Requirements:
Requirements:
• 5+ years of professional Linux systems administration/engineering including Ubuntu and RedHat
• 3+ years of hands-on Linux command line scripting (“shell” or BASH scripting)
• Extensive experience supporting Windows Servers – including app. installations and integrations
• Experience installing, configuring, and maintaining Virtual Machines (VMs) with VMWare
• Must be able to obtain a Public Trust clearance (successfully pass a thorough Government background screening process including fingerprinting)
• B.S. Degree

Nice to have:
Preferred Skills:
• Red Hat Certifications: (e.g., Red Hat Certified System Administrator – RHCSA, Red Hat Certified Engineer – RHCE) or MS (Windows Server Hybrid Administrator)
• Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) or CompTIA Security+, Server+
• AWS (e.g., Solutions Architect, SysOps Administrator) or Azure Certifications: (e.g., Azure Administrator Associate, DevOps Engineer)
• Secret, Top Secret, or other higher clearance levels in the Government space

• End user support of Linux, Windows workstations (some Mac as needed)
• Installation and configuration of complex scientific software packages.
• Proactively monitor, analyze, and correct system issues + maintaining system backups.
• Resolving system security issues – including patching, risk analysis and security plans.
• Assist with monitoring and management of storage systems along w/ Linux and Windows server administration.
• End user support in tracking and resolving issues via ticketing system.
• Develop and maintain system documentation
