Job Description:
Come join our customer’s U.S. Gas/Power business. This team is responsible for selling power plant equipment – including gas turbines, steam turbines, generators, and balance-of-plant systems—to the companies that build and operate power plants. Customers include utilities, developers, and energy producers who generate the electricity that powers homes and cities across the U.S. As a Contract Manager, you’ll own a portfolio of 6–10 major customer contracts, each valued at $100M+, guiding them from signature through warranty closeout across a 5–7-year lifecycle. You’ll work cross-functionally with Project Management, Engineering, Finance, and Logistics teams to protect the company’s interests, mitigate risk, and drive profitable outcomes. You will be responsible for negotiating change orders, managing claims, leading supplier recoveries, and crafting creative settlement strategies. Requirements:
10+ years of Contract Management experience in complex commercial/construction environments

Proven track record managing a portfolio of large-scale, high-value contracts ideally exceeding $100 million

Negotiating contract change orders, preventing and mitigating high dollar value claims, resolving disputes, and mitigating commercial risk

Experience within Power Generation or Utility industries supporting engineering, service, procurement, or construction contracts. Ideally involving power plant equipment or power plant builds. Open to relevant experience within utilities (such as wind or hydro) or the Oil & Gas industry

Bachelor’s degree (Business, Engineering, Construction Management, English, or relevant)

Nice to have:
Previous experience working for Samsung, Siemens, Hitachi, ABB, Mitsubishi, or local Utility/Power Companies

PMP Certification

Military Experience

Responsibilities:
• Serve as the commercial owner for $100M+ U.S. power equipment contracts from signature through warranty closeout, ensuring profitability and compliance.
• Negotiate and execute change orders, claims, and settlements, protecting GE Vernova’s financial and legal interests.
• Assess and mitigate risk across contract lifecycles, including pre-award analysis, insurance coverage, and supplier recoveries.
• Partner cross-functionally with Project Management, Engineering, Finance, Legal, and Sourcing to resolve commercial issues and drive successful project outcomes.
• Maintain strong documentation and communication, drafting contractual correspondence, tracking recoveries, and preparing customer presentations.
• Provide strategic commercial guidance to project teams, influencing execution decisions and risk management strategies.
