Job Description:
The Director of Data & Analytics will define and execute the enterprise strategy for data, analytics, and insights, enabling the organization to make data-driven decisions that deliver measurable business outcomes. Reporting to the CIO, you will lead a team of 5–6 professionals and partners across the organization to ensure data assets are trusted, accessible, secure, and effectively leveraged. You will champion a culture of data-driven decision-making while overseeing analytics platforms, governance, and advanced insights initiatives. You will have the opportunity to shape the future of data and analytics at this growing organization, driving innovation and delivering measurable impact across all areas of the business.
Requirements:
• 5 years of proven leadership at the director level leading large, cross-functional data and analytics teams in enterprise-scale organizations.
• Snowflake platform expertise: Deep, hands-on experience with Snowflake, including designing scalable data models, optimizing performance, ensuring governance and security, and guiding platform strategy to support enterprise-wide analytics initiatives.
• Proven ability to work with business leaders across functions to identify opportunities for data-driven decision making, translate operational challenges into actionable insights, and prioritize analytics initiatives that deliver measurable ROI.
• Strong background in cloud-based (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) data architectures, data governance, and modern analytics platforms including AI/ML integration. Experience in designing end-to-end data solutions that enable self-service analytics, operational efficiency, and enterprise scalability.
• Demonstrated ability to define and execute enterprise-wide data and analytics strategy, establish robust governance frameworks, ensure data quality, and embed security, privacy, and compliance into all processes.
Nice to have:
• Experience in utilities, infrastructure, or field service industries.
• Advanced degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Business Analytics, or related STEM discipline.
Responsibilities:
• Develop and implement the enterprise Data & Analytics strategy, aligning initiatives with business objectives and IT priorities.
• Lead and mentor a high-performing team of 5–6 data and analytics professionals, fostering collaboration, development, and accountability.
• Oversee the design, management, and evolution of modern analytics platforms, including Snowflake, Microsoft Fabric, and Oracle Analytics.
• Collaborate with business partners to prioritize analytics initiatives, ensuring solutions deliver tangible business results.
• Establish and enforce data governance frameworks, including data quality standards, stewardship, and compliance requirements.
• Drive the adoption of self-service analytics, advanced analytics, and AI-enabled solutions across the enterprise.
• Track, report, and optimize performance metrics related to data quality, platform utilization, analytics adoption, and business impact.
