About the Role:
This role will be joining the Supply Chain organization within our client’s Delivery Fulfillment Team. This individual will be supporting a project that exists as the layer between 3rd party logistics carriers and the rest of the Supply Chain ecosystem. The goal of this team is to develop applications that act as the event-handling layer that will standardize, reclassify, and normalize those events into a specific format to then be published to other systems/teams downstream for them to continue into the delivery process. This role will also include actively migrating these applications into a Google Cloud environment while continuing to scale, automate, and harden these existing applications. This is an exciting team to be a part of that is directly affecting the customer experience and bottom line of the organization!

Requirements:
5+ years of software development experience within a GCP environment including significant experience working with Java
Utilizing current Java versions (11-24)
Utilizing Micronaut as a JVM Framework
Utilizing GKE to deploy and manage applications
2+ years’ experience working with event-driven architecture and Pub/Sub technology (Google Cloud Pub/Sub, Kafka, RabbitMQ)
Experience developing and managing CI/CD pipelines with technologies like GitHub Actions to automate and integrate tasks

Nice to have:
Experience utilizing log and dashboard tools – Grafana, Prometheus, and Git
Experience performance testing deployed applications utilizing tools such as K6, Apache, JMeter, etc.

Responsibilities:
Develop and harden existing software applications to be deployed into a Google Cloud Platform
Develop Java based code that will communicate with Google APIs to develop pipelines for the Supply Chain applications
Develop event driven architecture to scale a distributed system utilizing Pub/Sub technology
Work with senior level engineers to develop proper design patterns for applications into a new cloud environment
