Job Description:
Want to make an impact in the utilities space? Our client, with customers across the U.S., is seeking a Senior GIS Consultant who knows Esri’s Utility Network (UN) inside and out. The ideal candidate will partner with major utility clients to design, implement, and modernize GIS systems that power real-world results. With a diverse portfolio of projects, this role will lead UN integrations on active initiatives while also helping uncover and drive new business opportunities within the energy and utility industry. Requirements:
– 7+ years of large scale technology consulting experience in electric, gas and/or water utilities space
– Hands on experience working within the Esri product suite, with preference in one or more of the following:
– Configuring, deploying, and managing ESRI’s Utility Network model
– Data model design and management
– Designing and deploying ArcGIS applications through ArcGIS Online or Portal
– Can clearly explain how utility systems (like power, gas, or water) work in real life and why mapping them in GIS is important for the business
– Knowledgeable in utility business processes, including compliance, regulatory requirements, and field workflows
Nice to have:
– ESRI certifications
Responsibilities:
– Lead various utility consulting programs for current and future customers
– Facilitate presentations and conduct workshops to identify, define, and capture business and technical requirements and best practices
– Oversee project deliverables for consulting engagements, including creating use cases, gathering requirements, and developing strategies, roadmaps, and reports for large-scale implementations.
– Translate high-level business and user needs into well-defined, detailed requirements that guide the teams doing the work.
– Provide business development support to the sales team and account managers, including preparation and estimation of proposals for consulting and implementation projects
– Develop new business relationships and support sales generation via client site visits while maintaining ongoing business relationships with current clients to drive future sales
– Actively participate in thought leadership activities such as blogs, conferences, and public speaking opportunities
