Job Description:
As a Field Application Engineer, you’ll own the full installation and training experience—building, configuring, and optimizing our hardware solutions directly with customers. You’ll work closely with lab teams and IT departments to ensure seamless adoption while traveling to support new product rollouts nationwide. This is a high-impact role with tremendous growth potential as the company continues to expand and build out its national FAE organization.

Requirements:
-3+ years of hands-on experience with hardware installation in a clinical lab, histology lab, or medical device environment
-Experience leading on-site customer training sessions, workflow demos, and feature walk-throughs
-Extensive technical troubleshooting skills, including resolving network connectivity, firewall, and system-access issues while partnering -directly with customer IT teams while onsite doing installs
-Ability to travel across the U.S. for up to three weeks each month to support customer installations

-Technical background with experience trouble shooting equipment virtually

Responsibilities:
-Perform full lifecycle installation of hardware systems, including unboxing, assembly, configuration, calibration, and connectivity setup.
-Provide comprehensive on-site customer training on system operation, new features, workflows, and best practices.
-Execute installation projects typically spanning one week—first half focused on equipment buildout, second half on training.
-Install up to four (4) scanners per week, with primary focus on Fina and Crystal product lines.
-Collaborate with Customer Success Managers who coordinate logistics and hand off equipment for on-site deployment.
-Troubleshoot hardware/software issues, including IT-related connectivity challenges (firewalls, networking, system access).
-Serve as the on-site technical expert, guiding lab teams through workflow adoption and system optimization.
-Provide rapid-response support for urgent hardware needs (ex: swapping a PC) through short, same-day field visits when needed.
-Interface with the companies service provider, who handles all PMs and hardware repairs—FAE focus remains on software, applications, and workflow optimization.
-Participate in Monday team touchpoint meetings and maintain calendar alignment for field scheduling, with a goal of being fully engaged in field work 3 out of 4 weeks each month.
-Support ongoing product rollouts and nationwide expansion as they continue to scale rapidly
