This role will be supporting separation activities for our Aerospace & Defense customer. They’re looking for a Project Migration Engineer to help support the Lead Project Migration Engineer we’ve already placed. The ideal resource has a mix of project management experience – moving migration projects through the lifecycle, updating the team lead and leadership on migration numbers/ milestones, coordinating PC migrations with the user-base, etc. Paired with hands-on technical migration work with Windows PC and a breadth of other infrastructure (ie: wireless, device, network, server, etc.)

Requirements:
• 4+ years of migration experience – 50% project management, moving migration projects through the lifecycle; paired with 50% technical hands-on experience with the following:
o Windows PC (v. 10/11) to re-image, refresh, configure, and enhance user optimization.
o Active Directory, DNS/DHCP, network shares, and Group Policy troubleshooting, to ensure domain controllers and security settings are correct in the new environment.
o A breadth of site infrastructure migration, troubleshooting, and connectivity skills (ie: wireless, device, server, network domain, etc.)
• Strong project-planning skills, to coordinate PC and other site infra migration work with users, update leadership on migration numbers/ milestones, and help move migration projects through the lifecycle.

Nice to have:
• Previous experience with Separation, M&A, or Divestiture activities.

Responsibilities:
• Work with the Lead Project Migration Engineer to successfully migrate PC, device, wireless, server, network domain, etc. on time, and with little user disruption.
• Perform hands-on device reimaging, deployment, and troubleshooting using tools such as SCCM, MDT, or similar deployment systems.
• Collaborate with local site users to identify device compatibility issues, remediate software conflicts, and ensure full system operability post-migration.
• Troubleshoot Windows-based systems, printers, scanners, and other network-connected devices during the transition.
• Conduct Active Directory, Group Policy, and network resource validations for migrated users and systems.
• Provide technical documentation of device configurations, application mappings, migration logs, and troubleshooting steps.
• Engage in infrastructure support and troubleshooting activities that can range anywhere from local server checks, patching coordination, and connectivity validations as sites transition.
