Job Description:
One of our top clients in the Aerospace & Defense industry is seeking highly skilled Data Governance Lead to drive and enable data governance practices across our Commercial Engines business unit. This role will coordinate cross-functional teams, lead governance initiatives, and support the development and management of metadata and data products. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in data management, data governance frameworks, and automation of workflows to ensure high-quality, reliable data. There will be a ton of opportunity to grow as this is one of their top visibility programs and they have a ton of initiatives in the pipeline throughout 2026!
Requirements:
• 5+ years of experience in data governance/data management running governance programs or initiatives
• 5+ years of relational database experience (SQL preferred) – analyzing data relationships to support data quality and governance initiatives
• Hands-on experience with Informatica IDQ, EDC, and Axon Data Governance
• Scripting/programming experience to automate workflows for cataloging data and pulling data for analysis and governance
• Familiarity with data cataloging standards such as DCAT (W3C standard) is a BIG PLUS
• Experience using entity relationship diagrams to explain workflows to business stakeholders
Nice to have:
• Manufacturing /Supply Chain experience
• Experience using SAP
Responsibilities:
• Support ongoing efforts to operationalize Enterprise Data Strategy.
• Leverage Enterprise data management tools such as Informatica Data Quality, Enterprise Data Catalog, and Axon for data governance to support the PW Business data initiatives.
• Partner with the business to help understand, refine and model existing business processes, understand the creation and usage of data at each step in the process, so as to implement a sound data management strategy.
• Perform root-cause analysis on problems and find solutions working with both business and technology partners.
• Participates with the business in ensuring integrity and quality of data in multiple source and target systems by maintaining processes to support data quality and related standards, maintaining technology processes to manage critical data and work towards improving those processes.
• Work with stakeholders to identify, catalog and govern critical data assets.
• Analyze, document and test data quality issues as an individual and as part of a team along with other technology groups.
