SAP FI Functional Consultant

Job Description:
A top Aerospace company is seeking an experienced SAP ECC Financial Functional Analyst to support a major SAP Clone and Cleanse initiative focused on improving financial processes, data accuracy, and ERP system alignment. You will work closely with finance, technical, and data migration teams to support Record-to-Report (R2R) processes, validate financial data, and resolve functional issues throughout the project lifecycle If you bring strong SAP ECC FI expertise and a background in complex ERP transformations, this is a great opportunity to grow your career with an enterprise level company!

Requirements:
-5+ years of hands-on SAP ECC FI experience configuring and supporting General Ledger (GL), Accounts Payable (AP), and Accounts Receivable (AR).
-Proven track record supporting SAP data migrations, system cloning, or ERP transformations, including financial data mapping, cleansing, and validation.
-Deep working knowledge of SAP ECC financial accounting processes, including recording transactions, reconciling accounts, and generating financial reports.
-Skilled in configuring SAP FI and writing functional specifications for reports, integrations, enhancements, and workflows.
-Demonstrated ability to test SAP financial processes, troubleshoot system issues, and resolve defects through unit testing and UAT.

Nice to have:
-Experience with SAP Revenue Accounting and Reporting (RAR), revenue recognition, or aerospace and defense financial processes.

Responsibilities:
-Support the SAP Clone and Cleanse initiative, focusing on ECC Finance functionality and R2R process alignment.
-Collaborate with finance, data migration, and technical teams to map, cleanse, validate, and reconcile financial data.
-Analyze existing SAP FI configurations and identify necessary changes to support cloned ERP environments.
-Develop functional specifications for financial reports, interfaces, enhancements, conversion programs, and workflows.
-Support financial integration points between SAP FI and other modules, including Controlling and Project Systems.
-Investigate and resolve functional defects identified during unit testing, integration testing, and UAT.
-Document system configurations, process flows, functional designs, and testing results.
-Ensure financial solutions align with program management requirements, accounting controls, and government/financial reporting obligations.
-Partner with business stakeholders to validate financial transactions, reporting accuracy, and system readiness.
