Job Description:
This is a great role for a DBA who wants real ownership over complex, enterprise-scale database environments. You’ll be trusted to run and optimize high-availability Oracle and SQL Server platforms that power critical business operations, while partnering with engineers and infrastructure teams to prevent issues before they happen. If you enjoy being the technical authority behind rock-solid systems and making a measurable impact across the organization, this role puts you in that seat.

Requirements:
-8–10+ years of hands-on enterprise DBA experience supporting large, production-critical Oracle and SQL Server environments.
-Deep hands-on Oracle 19c+ experience, specifically supporting RAC, Data Guard, Pluggable Databases (PDBs), patching/upgrades, backup/recovery, and performance tuning.
-Strong SQL Server administration experience supporting SQL Server 2016+ environments, including Always On Availability Groups, HA/DR, backups, patching, and performance troubleshooting.
-Hands-on experience using Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM), Idera, or similar monitoring tools to proactively identify and troubleshoot database performance, availability, and capacity issues.
-Proven senior-level troubleshooting skills to independently diagnose complex database issues across queries, performance, replication, connectivity, storage, and infrastructure.
-Experience supporting 24×7 production environments and comfortable participating in a rotating on-call schedule.

Nice to have:
-Oracle, Microsoft, or related database certifications.

Responsibilities:
-Manage and support enterprise Oracle environments across production and non-production systems.
-Provide 24×7 production support and participate in a rotating on-call schedule.
-Install, configure, patch, upgrade, and troubleshoot:
–Oracle 12c–19c (Standalone & RAC) and SQL Server 2016–2025 (Standalone & Always On)
-Perform daily, weekly, and monthly database maintenance activities.
-Design, manage, and validate backup and recovery processes.
-Create, alter, migrate, and maintain databases and database objects (tables, indexes, stored procedures, functions, etc.).
-Configure and support database replication technologies, including Oracle Data Guard.
-Proactively monitor database environments and resolve performance or capacity issues.
-Support development teams with query optimization and database performance tuning.
-Participate in system development life cycle activities and disaster recovery planning.
-Work closely with infrastructure, networking, storage, and application teams.
-Develop and maintain documentation, procedures, and operational standards.
-Provide senior-level guidance and mentoring to other DBAs as needed.
